CBS, Paramount-parent National Amusements reports data breach affecting over 80,000 people

Last year, National Amusements, the parent company of CBS and Paramount, reported a hack in a legal filing with Maine’s Attorney General, as reported by TechCrunch. The breach affected 82,128 people, including 64 residents of Maine. It is unclear whether only employee data or customer data was stolen. National Amusements took immediate steps to secure their network and minimize disruption to operations. Hackers obtained financial information, including bank account and credit card numbers, along with associated security codes, passwords, or secrets. Affected customers will receive 12 months of credit monitoring and identity theft services from Experian.
